GİZLİLİK POLİTİKASI

Retha'da kişisel bilgilerinizi önemsiyoruz, bu nedenle bunları nasıl topladığımızı, kullandığımızı ve paylaştığımızı açıklamak için bu Gizlilik Politikasını hazırladık. Bu Gizlilik Politikası, Retha web siteleri, mobil uygulamaları ve ilgili hizmetler ("Hizmet") için geçerlidir. Hizmeti kullanarak, Retha'nın kişisel bilgilerinizi bu Gizlilik Politikasının şartlarına uygun olarak toplamasını, kullanmasını ve paylaşmasını kabul edersiniz.

Retha, sunulan Hizmetin özelliklerini sürekli olarak test etmekte ve geliştirmektedir. Bu Gizlilik Politikası’nda yer verilen bazı özellikler tüm kullanıcılara veya tüm bölgelerine sunulmayabilir.

Topladığımız Bilgiler

Hizmeti kullandığınızda, Retha aşağıdaki kişisel bilgileri toplayabilir:

a. Hesap Kaydı

Retha hesabı oluşturmak için e-posta adresinizi bize sağlayabilirsiniz. Ayrıca Google gibi bazı sosyal giriş seçeneklerini kullanarak Retha hesabı oluşturabilirsiniz. Bu durumda, sosyal giriş sağlayıcınızdan e-posta adresiniz gibi bazı bilgiler Retha ile paylaşılabilir.

Retha hesabınızı ve sosyal girişleri Ayarlar bölümünden yönetebilirsiniz.

b. Profil Sayfası ve Kullanıcı Tarafından Oluşturulan İçerik

Retha hesabınızı oluşturduktan sonra sizin için bir profil sayfası (“Profil”) oluşturulur. Profiliniz; adınız, kullanıcı adınız, seçtiğiniz İngilizce seviyesi, uygulama tercihlerinizi ve profil fotoğrafınızı içeren bilgilerle doldurulur (“Kullanıcı Tarafından Oluşturulan İçerik”). Profiliniz herkese açık değildir ve diğer kullanıcılar tercihleriniz ve iletişim bilgileriniz gibi Profilinizin içeriklerini göremez.

Profiliniz ayrıca öğrenme istatistikleriniz gibi öğrenme ilerlemenizle ilgili bilgileri de içerecektir.

Retha, Kullanıcı Tarafından Oluşturulan İçeriği (ör. profil fotoğrafı, kullanıcı adı) Topluluk Kuralları’na uygunluğu sağlamak amacıyla inceleyebilir veya bu içerikleri üçüncü taraf bir hizmet sağlayıcısıyla paylaşabilir. İçerikler Topluluk Kuralları’nı ihlal etmesi sebebiyle veya başka bir nedenle Retha tarafından sınırlandırılabilir ya da silinebilir.

c. Favoriler ve Kaydedilen İçerik

Retha, kullanıcıların belirli öğrenme materyallerini (örneğin, mikro dersler) favori olarak işaretlemelerine olanak tanıyan bir özellik içerir. Bir dersi favori olarak işaretlediğinizde, bu bilgi hesabınıza kaydedilir ve Supabase gibi güvenilir üçüncü taraf sağlayıcıları kullanarak sunucularımızda saklanır. Favori derslerinizin listesi özeldir ve diğer kullanıcılar favori listenizi göremez. Bu veriler yalnızca Favoriler özelliğini etkinleştirmek ve uygulama içindeki öğrenme deneyiminizi desteklemek için kullanılır.

d. Konuşma Aktiviteleri ve Yapay Zekâ Özellikleri

Retha Hizmetini kullandığınızda, telaffuz becerileriniz için pratik yapmanıza yardımcı olan Phrase Lesson ve açık uçlu bir konuşma biçiminde bir Yapay Zeka - sohbet arkadaşına sesli mesajlar göndermenizi sağlayan Roleplay gibi Yapay Zeka ("AI") özellikleriyle etkileşim kurabilirsiniz.

Bazı özellikler Retha uygulamasına konuşmanızı içerir. Konuşmayı tanımak için sesiniz Google, Open AI veya Amazon Web Services gibi üçüncü taraf bir sağlayıcıya gönderilebilir. Ses verileriniz veya ses dökümünüz diğer kullanıcılarla paylaşılmayacak ve yalnızca sizin, sonuçlarınızı korumak amacıyla yetkili personelimizin ve bu hizmeti size sağlamak amacıyla üçüncü taraf hizmetleri ve Yapay Zeka hizmet sağlayıcılarının erişimine açık olacaktır.

Phrase Lesson ve Roleplay özellikleriyle etkileşim kurduğunuzda, sesiniz gerçek zamanlı olarak üçüncü taraf konuşma tanıma ve Yapay Zeka hizmetlerine (ör. OpenAI, Google) gönderilecek ancak sunucularımızda saklanmayacak ve diğer kullanıcılar tarafından erişilemeyecektir. Ses verileri yalnızca özellik işlevselliği için paylaşılır ve işlenir.

Bir Roleplay tamamladıktan sonra, ses dökümünüz sunucularımızda saklanacak ve Yapay Zeka sohbet arkadaşınızla yaptığınız görüşmeye göre size geri bildirim sağlamak için güvenilir Yapay Zeka hizmet sağlayıcıları ile paylaşılacaktır.

Ayrıca, aşağıdaki amaçlar için ses dökümünüzün bir kopyasını toplayabilir ve saklayabiliriz: Hizmeti sağlamak ve iyileştirmek, zararlı kullanımı önlemek ve yasal yükümlülükler için.

Konuşma aktivitelerini atlayabilirsiniz: “Phrase Lesson” ve “Roleplay”.

Retha uygulamasını ilk kullandığınızda, kişiselleştirilmiş bir öğrenme yol haritası oluşturmak için bir departman, sektör, iş konusu ve İngilizce seviyesi seçmeniz gerekir. Bu girdiler bu özelliği kullanmak için zorunlu olsa da, gerçek kimliğinizi, geçmişinizi veya mesleğinizi yansıtmaları gerekmez.

Retha, öğrenme deneyiminizi desteklemek için bu tercihleri saklar. Ayrıca, yol haritasını oluşturmak ve size ilgili öğrenme içeriği sağlamak için bu bilgileri üçüncü taraf Yapay Zeka hizmet sağlayıcıları ile paylaşabiliriz. Bu girdiler, profil oluşturma, reklamcılık için kullanılmaz veya bu işlevi sunmakla ilgili sağlayıcıların ötesinde paylaşılmaz.

Ücretsiz kullanıcılar, bu yol haritasını yalnızca ilk kayıt sırasında bir kez oluşturabilir. Retha Premium'a abone olursanız, tercihlerinizi değiştirebilir ve sınırlama olmaksızın yeni yol haritaları oluşturabilirsiniz.

AI özellikleriyle etkileşim kurduğunuzda, bilgileriniz OpenAI gibi Yapay Zeka hizmet sağlayıcıları ile paylaşılabilir ve bu sağlayıcılar kendi amaçları için seçimlerinizin, sesli yanıtlarınızın veya ses dökümünüzün bir kopyasını saklayabilir. Yapay Zeka sağlayıcılarını dikkatle seçeriz ve veri koruma için endüstri standartlarını karşıladıklarından emin oluruz. Ancak, Retha bu üçüncü taraf sağlayıcıların kendilerine iletildikten sonra verileri nasıl depoladıklarından, işlediklerinden veya kullandıklarından sorumlu değildir. Lütfen Yapay Zeka özelliklerini kullanırken hiçbir kişisel veya gizli bilgi göndermeyin.

e. Aktivite Verileri ve IP Adresleri

Hizmeti kullandığınızda; tarayıcı ve cihaz bilgileriniz, veri günlüğü, yaklaşık konumunuz ve IP adresiniz gibi Hizmeti kullanımınızla ilgili veriler üretebiliriz. Ayrıca, Hizmet içerisindeki eğitim etkinlikleriyle etkileşimlerinize dair veriler de üretilecektir.

f. Amplitude

Kullanıcıların Hizmetle nasıl etkileşim kurduğunu anlamamıza yardımcı olan bir analiz aracı olan Amplitude'u kullanıyoruz. Birçok hizmet gibi, Amplitude de kullanıcı etkileşimlerini izlemek için birinci taraf çerezleri ve benzer teknolojileri kullanır; bizim durumumuzda, kullanıcıların Hizmeti nasıl kullandıkları hakkında bilgi toplamak için kullanılmaktadır. Bu bilgiler, raporları derlemek ve hizmetimizi iyileştirmemize yardımcı olmak için kullanılır.

Toplanan veriler, anonimleştirilmiş raporlar derlemek ve Hizmetin işlevselliğini ve performansını iyileştirmemize yardımcı olmak için kullanılır. Bu raporlar, bireysel kullanıcıların kimliğini tespit etmeden eğilimleri açıklar. Amplitude, isim veya e-posta adresleri gibi kişisel olarak tanımlanabilir bilgileri (Kişisel Veri) toplamaz ve Amplitude'u reklam veya uygulamalar arası izleme için kullanmayız.

g. Sentry

Retha uygulamasının performansını izlemek ve hatasız ve dengeli bir şekilde çalıştığından emin olmak amacıyla Sentry hizmetinden yararlanıyoruz. Sentry, teknik sorunları gerçek zamanlı olarak tespit etmemize, kaydetmemize ve düzeltmemize yardımcı olur. Bu, çökme raporları, uygulama sürümü, işletim sistemi ayrıntıları ve genel kullanım bağlamı gibi bilgileri içerebilir. Sentry, teşhis raporlamasının bir parçası olarak IP adresi veya cihaz meta verileri gibi kullanıcıyla ilgili bilgileri sınırlı bilgileri işleyebilir. Sentry hizmetini yalnızca teknik izleme amaçları için kullanırız ve verileri reklam, profil oluşturma veya kullanıcı takibi için kullanmayız.

Bilgilerinizi Nasıl İşliyoruz

Retha, kişisel bilgilerinizi aşağıdaki yasal dayanaklara göre işleyebilir: talep ettiğiniz ürünleri veya hizmetleri sağlamak, Retha'nın meşru çıkarlarını desteklemek, yasal yükümlülüklere uymak ve sizin izniniz ile. Özellikle, Retha kişisel bilgilerinizi aşağıdaki şekillerde işleyebilir ve paylaşabilir:

a. Hizmeti Sağlamak ve Geliştirmek

Retha, Hizmeti sağlamak ve geliştirmek için kişisel bilgilerinizi işleyecektir. Örneğin, Profilinizi ve öğrenme ilerlemenizi korumak, öğrenme içeriğinizi kişiselleştirmek, hata tespiti ve düzeltilmesini gerçekleştirmek, araştırma yapmak ve size müşteri hizmeti sağlamak için sağladığınız bilgileri kullanacağız.

Retha; Amazon Web Services ve Supabase gibi yer sağlayıcıları, Google gibi arama motoru sağlayıcıları, Amplitude gibi analiz sağlayıcıları ve RevenueCat gibi abonelik yönetim sistemleri dahil olmak üzere Hizmeti sağlamamıza veya geliştirmemize yardımcı olan üçüncü taraflarla kişisel bilgileri paylaşabilir. Retha ayrıca, Yapay Zeka ve konuşma tanıma gibi ürün özelliklerini destekleyen üçüncü taraf sağlayıcılarla da bilgilerinizi paylaşabilir.

b. Sizinle iletişim kurmak

Retha, size aşağıdaki türde mesajlar göndermek için sağladığınız e-posta adresini kullanacaktır:

Hizmet'in işleyişini desteklemek için gerekli mesajlar.

Retha öğretim metodolojisini desteklemek ve öğrenmenizi pekiştirmek için mesajlar, örneğin öğrenme ipuçları, pratik yapma hatırlatıcıları ve ilerleme raporları.

Hizmet veya ürünlerdeki değişikliklerle ilgili duyurular.

Yeni Retha ürünleri, hizmetleri, teklifleri veya araştırma fırsatlarıyla ilgili duyurular.

Ayrıca öğrenme yolculuğunuzu desteklemek, dersleri hatırlatmak , önemli güncellemeleri paylaşmak veya Retha ürün ve hizmetlerine ait tanıtımlar ve teklifler için size anlık bildirimler gönderebiliriz.

Zorunlu olmayan mesajları ve anlık bildirimleri almayı Ayarlar sayfasından devre dışı bırakabilirsiniz.

c. Yasalara uyum ve kötüye kullanımı önleme

Retha, mahkeme celpleri veya mahkeme emirleri gibi yasal taleplere uymak için gerekli olması halinde kişisel bilgileri işleyebilir ve paylaşabilir. Retha, yasaya uymak, çıkarlarımızı veya mülkümüzü korumak, dolandırıcılığı veya diğer yasadışı faaliyetleri önlemek, kolluk kuvvetlerine yardımcı olmak veya yakın zamanda gerçekleşebilecek bir zararı önlemek için gerekli gördüğu durumlarda kişisel bilgileri paylaşabilir. Bu, bilgileri diğer şirketler, avukatlar, acenteler veya devlet kurumlarıyla paylaşmayı içerebilir.

d. Uygulama içi tanıtım mesajları

Retha Hizmetinde üçüncü taraf reklam hizmetleri kullanmıyoruz. Ancak uygulama içinde zaman zaman, Retha Premium gibi kendi ürün ve hizmetlerimiz veya özelliklerimiz hakkında sizi bilgilendiren promosyon mesajları veya reklam bantları görebilirsiniz. Bu mesajlar kişisel verilerinize dayanmaz ve herhangi bir üçüncü taraf takibi içermez. Bazı Retha abonelikleri promosyonsuz bir deneyim sunabilir.

e. Anonimleştirilmiş bilgiler

Retha, toplu veri, kimliği belirsizleştirilmiş veya başka şekilde anonim veri veya anonimleştirilmiş verileri işleyebilir. Bu tür bilgiler kişisel bilgi olarak kabul edilmez.

Veri Sahibi Olarak Haklarınız

Ayrıca, yürürlükteki veri koruma yasaları (GDPR, Birleşik Krallık GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD ve KVKK dahil ve bunlarla sınırlı olmamak üzere) uyarınca, yürürlükteki yasanın gerektirdiği diğer haklara ek olarak, hakkınızda tuttuğumuz kişisel bilgilerle ilgili olarak aşağıdaki haklara da sahipsiniz:

Hakkınızda hangi kişisel verileri topladığımızı öğrenmek.

Hakkınızda tuttuğumuz kişisel verilerin bir kopyasına erişmek.

Hangi kişisel verilerinizi üçüncü taraflarla paylaştığımızı öğrenmek.

Veri sahibi haklarınızı kullandığınız için ayrımcılığa uğramamak.

Retha'ya sağladığınız kişisel verileri elektronik olarak üçüncü bir tarafa aktarılabilecek bir biçimde dışa aktarmak.

Kişisel verilerinizi işlememiz için bize daha önce verdiğiniz tüm onayları geri çekmek.

Hizmet'teki talimatları izleyerek Retha hesabınızı silmek.

Gizlilik sayfası üzerinden, bilgilerinizi güncelleyebilir veya düzeltebilir ve belirli vazgeçme haklarınızı kullanabilirsiniz. Retha veri sunucularındaki kişisel bilgilerinize erişmeyi veya bunları silmeyi talep edebilirsiniz. Lütfen bu hakların mutlak olmadığını ve kimliğinizi doğrulayamamamız, talebin üçüncü bir tarafın haklarını veya geçerli yasayı ihlal edebilmesi veya talebin bir Retha hizmetine müdahale edebilmesi veya talep ettiğiniz bir hizmeti sunmamızı engelleyebilmesi gibi meşru bir neden varsa Retha'nın veri sahibi haklarını kullanma taleplerini reddedebileceğini unutmayın.

Güvenlik

Retha, kişisel verilerinizi korumak için uygun teknik ve idari tedbirler alır. Bu önlemler arasında güvenli sunucular, aktarım sırasında şifreleme ve kısıtlı erişim protokolleri yer alır.

Veri Saklama

Retha, hesabınız silinene kadar kişisel bilgilerinizi genellikle saklayacaktır. Ancak, Retha, Hizmetimizi sağlamak, meşru çıkarlarımızı veya üçüncü tarafların meşru çıkarlarını savunmak, yasal gerekliliklere uymak, anlaşmazlıkları çözmek veya kendimizi savunmak, Hizmetin kötüye kullanımını veya kesintiye uğramasını araştırmak veya anlaşmaları yerine getirmek için gerekliyse belirli bilgileri daha uzun süre saklayabilir. Anonim veriler süresiz olarak saklanabilir.

Çocuklara Yönelik Gizlilik

Retha, 13 yaşından küçük çocuklara yönelik değildir ve 13 yaş altındaki çocuklardan (veya bulunduğunuz bölgede veri işleme izni için gereken minimum yaş) bilerek veri toplamıyoruz. Retha, yetişkin kullanıcılar ve iş profesyonelleri için tasarlanmıştır. Hizmeti kullanarak, bulunduğunuz ülkede veri işleme izni verecek yaşta olduğunuzu beyan edersiniz.

Bir çocuğun yanlışlıkla bilgi göndermesi halinde, bu bilgileri mümkün olan en kısa sürede silmek için adımlar atacağız. Bir çocuğun bu politikayı ihlal ederek bize kişisel bilgi verdiğine inanıyorsanız, lütfen info@rethaco.com adresinden bizimle iletişime geçin.

Do Not Track

Retha, bazı tarayıcılar tarafından gönderilen “Takip Etme” (Do Not Track) sinyallerine yanıt vermemektedir.

Üçüncü Taraf Web Sitelerine Bağlantılar

Hizmet, diğer web sitelerine bağlantılar içerebilir. Retha, üçüncü taraf ödeme işlemcileri tarafından toplanan kişisel veya finansal bilgiler dahil olmak üzere diğer web sitelerinin içeriğinden veya gizlilik uygulamalarından sorumlu değildir. Kullanıcıları ziyaret ettikleri diğer web sitelerinin gizlilik politikalarının farkında olmaya teşvik ediyoruz. Bu Gizlilik Politikası yalnızca Retha tarafından toplanan bilgiler için geçerlidir. Bir bağlantıya tıkladığınızda veya kişisel bilgilerinizi bir üçüncü tarafa gönderdiğinizde, o üçüncü tarafın gizlilik politikalarına tabi olursunuz.

Gizlilik Politikası Güncellemeleri

Bilgi uygulamalarımızdaki değişiklikleri yansıtmak için Gizlilik Politikamızı güncelleyebiliriz. Bunu yaparsak ve değişiklikler önemliyse, değişiklikler yapılmadan en az yedi (7) gün önce Web Sitesinde bu Gizlilik Politikasında değişiklik yaptığımıza dair bir bildirim yayınlayacağız ve bu şartların en son revize edildiği tarihi Gizlilik Politikasının alt kısmında belirteceğiz. Bu Gizlilik Politikasında yapılan herhangi bir revizyon, bu yedi (7) günlük sürenin sonunda yürürlüğe girecektir. Ayrıca, Gizlilik Politikamızda herhangi bir güncelleme olması halinde sizi Retha uygulamasını bir sonraki açışınızda bilgilendireceğiz. Güncellenen Gizlilik Politikasının yürürlüğe girdiği tarihten sonra Hizmeti kullanmaya devam etmeniz, değişiklikleri kabul ettiğiniz anlamına gelir.

Kanuna Uygunluk ve Veri Aktarımı

Retha'nın merkezi Türkiye'de olup, 6698 sayılı Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu'na ("KVKK") ve gerektiğinde Genel Veri Koruma Yönetmeliği (GDPR), Birleşik Krallık GDPR'si ve Brezilya LGPD'si de dahil olmak üzere diğer yargı bölgelerindeki geçerli veri koruma yasalarına uymaktadır.

Retha hizmetini sağlamak ve iyileştirmek için kişisel verileriniz ikamet ettiğiniz ülke dışındaki sunuculara aktarılabilir ve bu sunucularda saklanabilir. Bu sunucular, Türkiye, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri, Avrupa Birliği üye ülkeleri veya güvenilir hizmet sağlayıcılarımızın faaliyet gösterdiği diğer bölgelerde bulunabilir. Bu sağlayıcılar arasında Amazon Web Services, Supabase, OpenAI, Google ve diğerleri bulunmaktadır.

Verileri uluslararası olarak aktarırken, yürürlükteki yasalar uyarınca gerekli olan uygun yasal, sözleşmesel ve teknik güvenlik önlemlerini uygularız. Örneğin, Avrupa Ekonomik Alanı veya Birleşik Krallık'tan yapılan aktarımlar Standart Sözleşme Maddelerine veya diğer tanınmış yasal mekanizmalara dayanabilir.

Retha Hizmetini kullanarak, kişisel verilerinizin saklandığını, işlendiğini ve kendi ülkeniz dışındaki ülkelere, kendi ülkenizle aynı düzeyde veri korumasına sahip olmayabilecek yerler de dahil olmak üzere aktarıldığını anlıyor ve bunlara açık rıza gösteriyorsunuz.

Belirli Yargı Bölgelerindeki Ek Şartlar

Bazı yargı bölgelerinde, Hizmet ek gizlilik politikalarına veya yerel yasalara tabi olabilir. Bu yargı bölgelerindeki kullanıcılar için, geçerli ek gizlilik politikaları ve yerel yasalar, çeliştikleri ölçüde bu Gizlilik Politikası'na göre öncelikli olacaktır.

İletişim

Retha, KVKK ve ilgili tüm yerel mevzuat kapsamında verilerinizin veri sorumlusudur. Hizmetin bazı özellikleri, yapay zeka işlevlerini sağlamak için verilerinizi bizim adımıza işleyen OpenAI gibi üçüncü taraf sağlayıcıları içerir. Bazı durumlarda, bu sağlayıcılar kendi meşru amaçları doğrultusunda verilerinizin bir kopyasını da saklayabilir. Bu işleme faaliyetlerini işbu Gizlilik Politikasında açıklıyor ve haklarınızı korumak için gerekli adımları atıyoruz.

At Retha, we care about your personal information, so we have prepared this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, and share it. This Privacy Policy applies to Retha websites, mobile apps, and related services (“Service”). By using the Service, you agree with Retha’s collection, use, and sharing of your personal information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Please note that Retha is constantly testing and improving our product features. Any features discussed in this Privacy Policy may not be available to all users or in all jurisdictions.

Information We Collect

When you use the Service, Retha may collect the following personal information about you.

a. Account Registration

To register for a Retha account, you may provide us with your email address.

You may also register for a Retha account using certain social logins, such as Google. If you register for Retha using a social login, Retha may receive information about you from your social login provider, including your email address.

You can manage your Retha account and social logins from your Settings.

b. Profile Page & User-Generated Content

After you register for your Retha account, a profile page will be created for you (“Profile”). Your Profile will be populated by information you submit, such as your name, username, the English level you selected, app preferences, and profile picture (“User-Generated Content”). Your Profile is not public, and other users will not be able to see the contents of your Profile such as your preferences and contact information.

Your Profile will also include information about your learning progress, such as your learning statistics.

Retha may scan or review any User-Generated Content (such as your profile picture and user name) or share your User-Generated Content with a third-party service provider, to ensure compliance with our Community Guidelines. Retha may restrict or delete User-Generated Content if it violates our Community Guidelines or for any other reason.

c. Favorites and Saved Content

Retha includes a feature that allows users to mark certain learning materials (e.g., microlessons) as favorites. When you mark a lesson as a favorite, this information is saved to your account and stored on our servers using trusted third-party providers such as Supabase. Your list of favorite lessons is private and other users cannot see your favorite list. This data is used solely to enable the Favorites feature and to support your learning experience within the app.

d. Speaking Activities and AI Features

When you use Retha Service, you may interact with Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) features, including Phrase Lesson which helps you practice your pronunciation skills, and Roleplay, which enables you to send audio messages to an AI chat companion in an open-ended conversational format.

Some activities involve you speaking into the Retha app. To recognize speech, your audio may be sent to a third-party provider such as Google, Open AI, or Amazon Web Services. Your audio data or audio transcript will not be shared with other users and will only be accessible to you, our authorized staff for the purpose of maintaining your results, and third party services and AI vendors for the purpose of providing this service to you.

When you interact with Phrase Lesson and Roleplay features, your audio will be sent in real-time to third-party speech recognition and AI services (e.g. OpenAI, Google) but is not stored in our servers and is not accessible by other users. Audio is shared and processed for feature functionality only.

After completing a Roleplay, your audio transcript will be stored in our servers and shared with trusted AI vendors to provide you feedback based on your conversation with the AI chat companion.

We may also collect and store a copy of your audio transcript for the following purposes: providing and improving the Service, to prevent harmful use, and for legal obligations.

You may skip speaking activities: Phrase Lesson and Roleplays.

When you first use the Retha app, you are required to select a department, sector, business topic, and English level in order to generate a personalized learning roadmap. While these inputs are mandatory to use this feature, they are not required to reflect your real identity, background, or occupation.

Retha stores these preferences to support your learning experience. We may also share this information with third-party AI vendors as necessary to generate the roadmap and provide you with relevant learning content. These inputs are not used for profiling, advertising, or shared beyond the vendors involved in delivering this functionality.

Free users can generate this roadmap only once during initial registration. If you subscribe to Retha Premium, you may change your preferences and generate new roadmaps without limitation.

When you interact with AI features, your information may be shared with AI vendors such as OpenAI, which may keep a copy of your selections, audio responses or audio transcripts for their own purposes. We choose AI vendors carefully and ensure they meet industry standards for data protection. However, Retha is not responsible for how these third-party vendors store, process, or use the data once it has been transmitted to them. Please do not submit any personal or confidential information when using AI features.

e. Activity Data & IP Addresses

When you use the Service, we may generate data about your use of the Service, which may include your browser and device data, log data, approximate location and IP address. We will also generate data regarding your engagement in educational activities on the Service.

f. Amplitude

We use Amplitude, which is an analytics tool that helps us understand how users engage with the Service. Like many services, Amplitude uses first-party cookies and similar technologies to track user interactions, as in our case, where they are used to collect information about how users use the Service. This information is used to compile reports and to help us improve our service.

The data collected is used to compile anonymized reports and help us improve the functionality and performance of the Service. These reports disclose trends without identifying individual users. Amplitude does not collect personally identifiable information such as names or email addresses, and we do not use Amplitude for advertising or cross-app tracking.

g. Sentry

We use Sentry to monitor the performance and stability of the Retha app. Sentry helps us detect, log, and fix technical issues in real time. This may include information such as crash reports, app version, operating system details, and general usage context. Sentry may process limited user-related information such as IP address or device metadata as part of its diagnostic reporting. We use Sentry strictly for technical monitoring purposes and we do not use data for advertising, profiling, or user tracking.

How We Process Your Information

Retha may process your personal information according to the following legal bases: to provide products or services you request, to promote Retha’s legitimate interests, to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent. In particular, Retha may process and share your personal information in the following ways:

a. Providing and improving the Service

Retha, will process your personal information to provide and improve the Service. For example, we will use the information you provide to maintain your Profile and learning progress, personalize learning content, detect and fix bugs, perform research, and provide customer service to you.

Retha may share personal information with third parties that help us provide or improve the Service, including hosting providers such as Amazon Web Services and Supabase, search engine providers such as Google, analytics providers such as Amplitude, and subscription management services such as RevenueCat. Retha may also share your information with third-party vendors that support product features such as AI, and speech recognition.

b. Communicating with you

Retha will use the email address you provide to send you the following types of messages:

Essential messages to support the operation of the Service.

Messages to support the Retha teaching methodology and reinforce your learning, such as learning tips, reminders to practice, and progress reports.

Announcements regarding changes to the Service or products.

Announcements of new Retha products, services, offers, or research opportunities.

We may also send you push notifications to support your learning journey, remind you of lessons, share important updates, or share promotions and offers on Retha products and services.

You may opt-out of receiving non-essential messages and push notifications in your Settings.

c. Complying with law and preventing harmful activities

Retha may process and share personal information if necessary to comply with legal requests, such as subpoenas or court orders. Retha may share personal information when we believe it is necessary to comply with law, to protect our interests or property, to prevent fraud or other illegal activity, to assist law enforcement, or to prevent imminent harm. This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers, agents, or government agencies.

d. In-App Promotional Content

We do not use third-party advertising services in the Retha Service. However, from time to time, you may see promotional messages or banners within the app that inform you about our own products or features, such as Retha Premium. These messages are not based on your personal data and do not involve any third-party tracking. Certain Retha subscriptions may offer a promotion-free experience.

e. Anonymous information

Retha may process aggregated, de-identified, or otherwise anonymous or anonymized information for any purpose. Such information is not considered personal information.

You may also have the right to make a KVKK complaint to the relevant Supervisory Authority. You may also have the right to make a GDPR complaint to the relevant Supervisory Authority.

Security

Retha takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including secure servers, encryption during transmission, and restricted access protocols.

Data Retention

Retha will generally retain your personal information until your account is deleted. However, Retha may retain certain information longer if necessary to provide our Service, defend our legitimate interests or those of third parties, comply with legal requirements, resolve or defend ourselves in disputes, investigate misuse or disruption of the Service, or perform agreements. We may also retain anonymous data indefinitely.

Children’s Privacy

Retha is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). Retha is designed for adult users and business professionals. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement in your country to consent to data processing.

Do Not Track

The Service is not designed to respond to “do not track” signals sent by some browsers.

The Service may contain links to other websites. Retha is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites, including any personal or financial information collected by third-party payment processors. We encourage users to be aware of the privacy policies of other websites they visit. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by Retha. Any time you click on a link or submit your personal information to a third-party, you will be subject to that third party’s privacy policies.

We may update our Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our information practices. If we do this and the changes are material, we will post a notice that we have made changes to this Privacy Policy on the Website for at least seven (7) days before the changes are made, and we will indicate the date these terms were last revised at the bottom of the Privacy Policy. Any revisions to this Privacy Policy will become effective at the end of that seven (7) day period. We may also inform you of any updates in our Privacy Policy through the Retha app, when you next open the app. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

Compliance with the Law and Data Transfer

Retha is headquartered in Turkey and complies with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”), as well as applicable data protection laws in other jurisdictions, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK-GDPR, and Brazil’s LGPD, where required.

To provide and improve the Retha service, your personal data may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside of your country of residence. These servers may be located in countries such as Turkey, the United States, member states of the European Union, or other regions where our trusted service providers operate. These providers include Amazon Web Services, Supabase, OpenAI, Google, and others.

When transferring data internationally, we implement appropriate legal, contractual, and technical safeguards as required under applicable laws. For example, transfers from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom may rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other recognized legal mechanisms.

By using the Retha Service, you understand and, expressly consent to your personal data being transferred, stored, or processed in countries outside your own, including places that may not have the same level of data protection as your home country.

Supplemental Terms in Certain Jurisdictions

In some jurisdictions, the Service may be subject to supplemental privacy policies or local laws. For users in those jurisdictions, the applicable supplemental privacy policies and local laws will take precedence over this Privacy Policy to the extent they conflict.

Retha. is the data controller of your data for the purposes of the KVKK and any relevant local legislation. Some features of the Service involve third-party vendors such as OpenAI that process your data on our behalf to provide AI functionalities.
